Overview
RuView, published here as wifi-densepose, turns ordinary WiFi signals into a room sensing system that uses no cameras or wearables. It can detect people, measure breathing and heart rate, track movement and monitor rooms, including through walls and in the dark. It connects to smart-home platforms such as Home Assistant over MQTT, and to Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa through bridges.
Key features
- Presence and movement detection from WiFi signals
- Breathing and heart rate measurement without video
- Home Assistant integration through an MQTT publisher
- Apple Home bridge, plus Google Home and Alexa via the HA bridge or Matter
- ESP32 firmware and a Rust codebase
Best for
People building room monitoring or home automation who want presence and vital signs without cameras. Setup involves WiFi sensing hardware such as ESP32 nodes.
