Overview
Quandoom is a joke port of the first level of DOOM designed for a quantum computer, given as a single QASM file using about 70,000 qubits and 80 million gates. No such quantum computer exists yet, but the circuit can be simulated on a classical computer with the included lightweight C++ simulator. It is a novelty project, not a practical tool.
Key features
- First DOOM level expressed as one QASM circuit
- Includes a 150-line C++ QASM simulator
- Runs at 10 to 20 fps on the author's laptop
- Uses about 5 to 6 GB of RAM to play
Best for
Curious readers interested in quantum circuits or the tradition of running DOOM everywhere. It is a humorous demo and has no practical use.
