Overview
XcodeClangFormat is an Xcode extension that formats source code with clang-format. It uses the libclangFormat library from Clang 10 and works with a .clang-format file. You open the app, pick a predefined style or load your project's .clang-format file, then run Format Source Code from Xcode's Editor menu. It is compatible through at least Xcode 11.4 and installs from a release download or with Homebrew.
Key features
- Adds Format Source Code to Xcode's Editor menu
- Choose a predefined style or open a .clang-format file
- Uses libclangFormat from Clang 10
- Install from a release download or Homebrew cask
Best for
Xcode users who want clang-format style in the editor. Due to macOS sandboxing it always uses the style chosen in the app, not the nearest .clang-format file on disk.
