Overview
RaTeX is a LaTeX math renderer written in pure Rust that follows KaTeX syntax. It needs no JavaScript, WebView or DOM. One Rust core produces a display list that each platform draws natively, so formulas can appear in iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native and web apps, or be exported on a server as PNG, SVG or PDF. It exposes a C ABI and WASM builds.
Key features
- KaTeX-compatible syntax, over 99.5% coverage per the project
- One Rust core shared by all platforms
- C ABI and WASM for embedding
- Server-side PNG, SVG and PDF output
- Live demo and support table compare it with KaTeX
Best for
Mobile, cross-platform and server developers who want math rendering without hosting a WebView or headless Chrome. Check the repository for its license terms before use.
