Overview
sharing is a command-line tool for moving files, folders and clipboard text between a computer and a phone. You run one command, such as npx easy-sharing with a folder path, and scan the QR code it shows. The phone opens an ordinary web page over your own Wi-Fi, so nothing needs to be installed on the phone, no account is needed and nothing goes to a cloud service.
Key features
- Shares files, folders and clipboard text by QR code
- Phone only needs a web browser
- Can receive files sent from the phone
- Works over the local network, with no cloud or account
Best for
Anyone who often moves photos or documents between a laptop and a phone and wants to skip cloud uploads or extra apps. Both devices need to be on the same network.
